.DISCUSSION...
Today will feature shallower mixing and increasing moisture but
minimum relative humidity values will still fall to between
40 and
50 percent most places. Stronger gusts today, particularly along
coastal and interior ME. While there will be shower chances over
the mountains today, coverage of wetting rain will be limited
until Monday.
The area will be between two systems overnight into Monday. A
cold
front advances from the west while a compact low pressure system
passes south to north over the Gulf of Maine. Showers and storms
train through the mountains and foothills associated with the
frontal feature Monday, while more isolated showers develop along
the Midcoast from the passing low. The best chance for wetting
rain will be under the training showers/storms along the front,
roughly the mountains and foothills through Monday evening.
