.DISCUSSION...
An area of showers is crossing the northern half of NH and much
of
western Maine early this morning that is producing a brief
wetting
rainfall. Warmer and more humid air moves into the area today
with min RH only dropping to 45-55 percent with SW winds gusting
20-30 mph. There will be chances for thunderstorms this afternoon
and evening ahead of a cold front that crosses tonight. On Sunday
NW winds will be sustained 20 mph and gusting to 35 mph is
possible. Additionally despite cool temperatures the minimum RH
values will be near 20 percent south of the mountains. Dewpoints
may potentially be a few degrees cooler than forecast if full
mixing is achieved. The greatest fire concerns will be for areas
across southern NH that have missed out on the wetting rainfall
crossing this morning.
