...TROPICAL SYSTEM TO IMPACT THE MARIANAS THROUGH MIDWEEK...
...HEAVY RAIN...GUSTY WINDS...AND CHOPPY SEAS AND SURF POSSIBLE...

A tropical disturbance, known as Invest 94W from the Joint Typhoon
Warning Center (JTWC), is now listed as a Tropical Cyclone
Formation Alert (TCFA), meaning a tropical cyclone will likely
develop in the next 24 hours. It continues to slowly intensify as it
moves away from the region, with the latest position placing it at
10.6N 141.0E (based on the latest visible satellite imagery), 320
miles southwest of Guam. It`s moving west-northwest at 20 mph.

Meanwhile, Tropical Storm 25W (Man-yi) was located 510 miles east
of Saipan as of 8 AM ChST, Monday, November 11th. This system is
moving southwest at 10 mph and is expected to cross the Marianas
near Tinian and Saipan as it weakens into a tropical depression.

However, periphery showers and thunderstorms associated with
Invest 94W remain possible today, and we`ll begin to feel the
effects of a weakening Man-yi Tuesday afternoon, with the system
expected to cross the region late Tuesday night into Wednesday
morning. This system will still bring the potential for locally
heavy rainfall and strong wind gusts as it passes through our
area. This will be the last Special Weather Statement issued for
Tropical Storm 25W (Man-yi).

For more information on Invest 94W (TCFA) and Tropical Storm Man-yi,
see bulletins issued by JTWC under WMO header WTPN21 PGTW and WTPN32
PGTW
