...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE WATERS...

The areas affected include... Saipan and Tinian Coastal Waters...

At 708 PM ChST, satellite imagery indicated strong thunderstorms
satellite imagery indicated strong thunderstorms producing frequent
intense lightning. These thunderstorms were located just east of
Saipan and Tinian`s coast. The line of storms is moving west at
about 20 knots.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 25 knots, locally higher
waves, lightning strikes, and heavy downpours. Boaters should seek
safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.

Intense lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
