Winds will be gusty along and behind the front, so conditions will be conducive meteorologically for the quick formation and spread of fires. Fine fuel moisture is expected to plummet during the late morning and early afternoon. After coordination with local land managers and forestry officials, a Fire Danger Statement has been issued for NC Forest Service Districts 2 and 10. Consult your local burn-permitting authority to determine whether you may burn outdoors. If you do burn, exercise extreme caution. $$ MPR
