CENTRAL ABBEVILLE AND OCONEE COUNTIES THROUGH 1015 AM EST...

At 935 AM EST, Doppler radar was tracking a narrow line of strong
showers extending from 9 miles southeast of Hiawassee to 7 miles
southwest of Carnesville to 8 miles southeast of Monroe. This line
was moving quickly to the east at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 45 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated and surface reports.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Anderson, Clemson, Toccoa, Seneca, Elberton, Hartwell, Walhalla,
Clayton, Clarkesville, and Carnesville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A brief heavy downpour rainfall is also occurring with these storms
and may lead to localized ponding of water on roadways. Slow down
and maintain an extra following distance between other vehicles.
