.A persistent band of rain has brought significant rain totals to
portions of Muskegon County. Rain is expected to continue into early
tonight.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 530 AM EDT WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Michigan, including the
  following county, Muskegon.

* WHEN...Until 530 AM EDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams
  continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall.
  Expect flooded roads to continue overnight.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 526 PM EDT, reliable reports of heavy rain have been
    received in the warned area. Flooding is already occurring.
    Three to five inches of rain had fallen with unofficial
    reports of greater than seven inches of rain. An additional
    one to three inches of rain can be expected in this area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Muskegon, Roosevelt Park, North Muskegon, Whitehall,
    Montague, Lakewood Club, Norton Shores, Dalton, Muskegon
    State Park, Duck Lake State Park and Twin Lake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
