Weather Summary for North-Central and Northeast Wisconsin
National Weather Service Green Bay WI
628 AM CDT Fri Mar 28 2025

A variety of weather is expected over the next three days. This
morning, a few thunderstorms will move across central and east-
central Wisconsin. Meanwhile, occasional rain is expected
throughout the day. Some of this could be freezing drizzle across
far northern Wisconsin this morning, but impacts will be minimal
as road temperatures rise.

Another round of scattered thunderstorms is expected late this
afternoon and evening, particularly across northern Wisconsin.
Some small hail is possible within the storms, with an isolated
threat for hail around 1 inch in size.

Rain remains the main precipitation late tonight and Saturday,
with a brief window for freezing rain in northern WI late tonight.
These impacts will once again be minimal as the duration is
short-lived.

The main weather impacts occur Saturday night through Sunday
night, where significant freezing rain and icing is forecast. Ice
accumulations from a tenth to four-tenths of an inch are
possible, highest from roughly Wausau to Iron Mountain. Rain will
occur longer into Sunday across the Fox Valley and east-central
WI, but as temps cool some icing is also forecast here by Sunday
evening. All precip ends as snow Sunday night and Monday morning,
adding to an already hazardous travel situation.
