Weather Summary for North-Central and Northeast Wisconsin

Scattered flurries were ongoing across northern Wisconsin
overnight as northwest winds began to ramp up, with gusts to 30
mph reported in east-central Wisconsin. 3 AM temperatures ranged
from the upper tens below zero from central to north-central
Wisconsin to the low single digits above zero along the lakeshore.
Wind chills in the mid 20s to low 30s below zero were observed in
far north-central Wisconsin.

Arctic air will continue to spread across the region today,
bringing a prolonged period of dangerous wind chills. A Cold
Weather Advisory remains in effect through 9 PM Monday.
Otherwise, northwest flow will bring continued chances for light
lake effect snow to far north-central Wisconsin. Highs this
afternoon will be bitter cold, ranging from the mid single digits
below zero across central and north-central Wisconsin to the upper
single digits above zero along and east of the Fox Valley.

The coldest air of the season will stick around through at least
Wednesday. Dangerously cold wind chills ranging from 25 to
35 degrees below zero, locally colder, will be likely during the
early morning hours. Additional cold weather headlines will be
forthcoming.
