The storms which prompted the warning have moved out of the warned
area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for
northwestern and west central Kansas.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 900 PM CDT
FOR WICHITA...THOMAS...LOGAN AND RAWLINS COUNTIES...

At 846 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 7 miles southeast of Trenton to 3 miles west of
Rexford to 4 miles west of Grigston, moving east at 50 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

These severe thunderstorms will remain over mainly rural areas of
Wichita, Thomas, Logan and Rawlins Counties, including the following
locations... Lydia, Blakeman, Beardsley, Mingo, Marienthal, and
Halford.

This includes Interstate 70 in Kansas between mile markers 36 and 75.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature`s leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.
