...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT EAST CENTRAL CHEYENNE AND
WESTERN RAWLINS COUNTIES IN NORTHWESTERN KANSAS THROUGH 445 AM CDT...

At 422 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
McDonald, or 19 miles west of Atwood, moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of east central
Cheyenne and western Rawlins Counties in northwestern Kansas,
including the following locations... Beardsley.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This thunderstorm is producing minor accumulations of hail, which
will make driving hazardous, similar to snow or ice. If you must
travel, be aware of rapidly changing road condtitions.
