Regional Weather Summary for the High Plains
National Weather Service Goodland KS
1257 AM MST Sun Nov 17 2024

High temperatures on Saturday ranged from 60 to 70 degrees across
the majority of the area, except in far western portions of Kit
Carson and Cheyenne counties in Colorado, where snow cover kept
temperatures from exceeding the upper 40s to lower 50s. No
precipitation was observed during the past 24 hours.

OUTLOOK... Expect a cooling trend with below average temperatures
by mid-week. A potent low pressure system anticipated to develop
in the lee of the southern Rockies tonight will track northward
through the Central Plains Monday into Monday night, bringing
moderate to locally heavy rain and breezy northwest winds to
portions of the Tri-State area, mainly in northwest Kansas and
southwest Nebraska. Dry conditions, breezy northwest winds and
colder temperatures will follow, on Tuesday.
