...ON THIS DATE IN WEATHER HISTORY...

In 1995, thunderstorm winds were estimated at 60 mph 9 miles
southwest of Beardsley Kansas in Rawlins County. The winds broke
several three to four inch diameter branches and moved a 100 pound
picnic table 20 feet. Pea sized hail accompanied the strong winds.

In 2007, thunderstorms produced wind gusts estimated at 80 mph
northeast of Indianola in Red Willow County Nebraska. A porch roof
was blown off a home and outbuildings were reported damaged.
