...ON THIS DATE IN WEATHER HISTORY...

In 1940, the temperature plummeted to 11 below zero in McCook
Nebraska and 10 below zero in Colby Kansas, both records for the
month of November.

In 1993, snowfall ranged from 6 to 8 inches west and north of a
line from Sharon Springs, to Goodland, Colby and Oberlin. A two
vehicle accident on slippery and icy roads near Norton resulted in
1 fatality and 3 injuries.
