In 1990, snow began falling in the Tri State area during the early
morning hours and continued for the entire day and into the next
afternoon. Two day totals ranged from 6 inches near Norton Kansas
to over a foot near the Colorado and Kansas border. Goodland
reported 10 inches of snow, while the highest totals were found in
Wray and Yuma Colorado where 16 inches accumulated.

In 2011, a winter storm produced light snow, freezing drizzle and low
visibility, resulting in numerous traffic accidents throughout the

Tri-State area.
