This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska...
northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...

Locally dense fog may affect portions of northwest Kansas this
morning, mainly east of a line from Colby to Atwood. Fog, where
present, will lift and dissipate by sunrise, as winds abruptly shift
to the northwest and increase to 15 to 25 mph in the wake of a modest
cold frontal passage.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...

Near critical to locally critical fire weather conditions are
possible over portions of the area on Friday, mainly in eastern
Colorado where breezy southwest winds may develop during the mid to
late afternoon.

Showers and thunderstorms will develop over much, or all, of the
Tri-State area this weekend as a potent upper level low tracks
eastward across the Rockies and Central Plains. Heavy rainfall and
isolated flash flooding are possible, mainly Saturday afternoon
through Sunday morning.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed.
