Drought Information Statement
National Weather Service Goodland KS
527 AM MST Thu Jan 2 2025 /627 AM CST Thu Jan 2 2025/

Despite a dry December, no change in drought conditions were
reported over the past month. After a record setting month of
November precipitation, little to no precipitation occurred
across much if not all of the Goodland forecast area. The ASOS
sites in Burlington and McCook both did not report any
precipitation for the month making this the first time that feat
had been accomplished since 1928 for McCook and 1981 for
Burlington. Despite an increasing signal of colder weather and
above average precipitation to start the month of January, there
is no clear signal for either for the month as a whole.
