At 1117 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 22 miles southwest of Meeker, or 49 miles northwest of Glenwood Springs, moving east at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation and outdoor objects is possible. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of south central Rio Blanco County. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
