...RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURES FROM OCTOBER 5TH...

In western Colorado,

At 8 miles south of Durango, the high temperature reached 80
degrees. This tied the record high for October 5th, last set in
2006.

At the Grand Junction Regional Airport, the high reached 87. This
set a new record high for October 5th, breaking the previous
record of 86, set in 1947.

At 6 miles east-southeast of Ignacio, the high reached 81. This
set a new record high for October 5th, breaking the previous
record of 77, set in 2020.

At 5 miles south-southeast of Mesa, the high reached 79. This set
a new record high for October 5th, breaking the previous record
of 73, set in 2020.

At Northdale, the high temperature reached 81. This tied the
record high for October 5th, last set in 1987.

At Ouray, the high reached 78. This set a new record high for
October 5th in the Ouray area, breaking the previous record of
76, set in 1980.

At Rangely, the high temperature reached 86. This set a new
record high for October 5th, breaking the previous record of 83,
set in 1992.



In eastern Utah,

At Arches National Park, the high reached 93. This set a new
record high for October 5th, breaking the previous record of 92,
set in 1993.

At the Needles District of Canyonlands National Park, the high
reached 90. This set a new record high for October 5th, breaking
the previous record of 88, set in 1978.

At the Neck Area of Canyonlands National Park, the high reached
85. This set a new record high for October 5th, breaking the
previous record of 84, set in 1965.

At the Quarry Area of Dinosaur National Monument, the high
reached 87. This set a new record high for October 5th, breaking
the previous record of 86, set in 1993.

At Valley of the Gods, the high reached 86. This set a new record
high for October 5th, breaking the previous record of 85, set in
