...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY IS CANCELLED...

* WHAT...For the Cold Weather Advisory tonight into Monday morning,
  very cold temperatures as low as 25 below expected. For the
  Extreme Cold Watch Monday night into Tuesday morning, dangerously
  cold temperatures as low as 40 below possible.

* WHERE...Upper Gunnison River Valley.

* WHEN...For the Cold Weather Advisory, from 10 PM this evening to
  11 AM MST Monday. For the Extreme Cold Watch, from Monday evening
  through Tuesday morning.

* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin
  is exposed to these temperatures. Very cold temperatures can lead
  to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must
go outside.

To prevent water pipes from freezing; wrap or drain or allow them to
drip slowly.

Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.

Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make sure outdoor animals
have a warm, dry shelter, food, and unfrozen water.

  Mountains/Central Mountain Valleys, Grand and Battlement Mesas,
  and West Elk and Sawatch Mountains.

* WHEN...From Monday evening through Tuesday morning.

* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 35 below zero
  could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.
