.DISCUSSION...Strong prefrontal winds develop on Thursday ahead of
a system dropping out of the northern Intermountain region. This
will bring gusts of 45 mph or higher in the afternoon. As the
storm draws closer, precipitation chances increase during the
afternoon, becoming likely overnight as the cold front moves
through toward midnight. Snow is all but certain Friday as
temperatures fall and the airmass becomes saturated while the
storm center passes overhead.

Sky/weather.........Mostly sunny (40-50 percent). Isolated rain
                    showers early in the morning. Slight chance of
                    snow showers through the day. Chance of rain
                    showers in the afternoon.
CWR.................20 percent.
Max temperature.....52-57.
Min humidity........21-26 percent.
Wind (20 ft)........Breezy. Southwest winds 18 to 23 mph with gusts to
                    around 45 mph.
Smoke dispersal.....Becoming fair by 0900, the becoming excellent by
                    noon.
Mixing height.......Climbing to 10200 ft AGL at peak heating.
Transport winds.....Southwest 33 mph.
Chance of thunder...5 percent.

.THURSDAY NIGHT...

Sky/weather.........Mostly cloudy (80-90 percent). Snow showers
                    likely with possible showers and thunderstorms
                    in the evening, then chance of snow showers
                    overnight.
CWR.................50 percent.

Max humidity........60-65 percent.
Wind (20 ft)........West winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts to around
                    35 mph. Stronger gusty and erratic winds expected
                    near thunderstorms in the evening.
