.DISCUSSION...A prolonged period of Red Flag conditions are
expected through the end of the week as hot...dry and windy
weather dominates the forecast. There is a bit of moisture being
pulled across the region by a core of stronger winds aloft
which will lead to afternoon storms favoring the southern
mountains. Unfortunately new lightning starts and gusty
outflow winds will be more of a threat than wetting rainfall.
