...FLOOD ADVISORY FOR AN ICE JAM IN EFFECT UNTIL 845 PM MST THIS
EVENING...

* WHAT...Rapid rise in Roaring Fork River caused by an ice jam is
  expected.

* WHERE...Along the Roaring Fork River from Snowmass Canyon through
  Carbondale, CO.

* WHEN...Until 845 PM MST.

* IMPACTS...Anglers and anyone near or in the Roaring Fork River
  should move away from the river and seek higher ground now. Use
  extreme caution and be on the lookout for ice and debris flowing
  in the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 252 PM MST, local law enforcement reported an ice jam
    within the advisory area. Minor flooding or rapid increase in
    water levels and flow are expected to begin shortly in the
    Roaring Fork River.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Carbondale, Basalt and El Jebel.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away. River banks and culverts can become unstable and unsafe.

Emergency management and law enforcement are asking all citizens to
use extreme caution in and around the Roaring Fork River.
