This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Showers and thunderstorms coming off the high plains are expected
to cross the local area from the very late afternoon through
evening hours tonight. Some of these thunderstorms could be
severe, especially for areas west of Highway 281. If realized,
hail to the size of golf balls, heavy rainfall and wind gusts in
excess of 60 MPH will be possible with the strongest storms. While
the threat for a tornado is not zero, it remains very low and
likely limited to areas west of Highway 183.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

Periodic chances for thunderstorms exist through much of the
upcoming work week, with some of the overall-higher chances
currently forecast Monday and Tuesday, with parts of the local
area already highlighted for potential severe weather by the
Storm Prediction Center.

The focus for any severe weather will likely be west of Highway
281 on Monday, with damaging winds, heavy rainfall and hail to the
size of golf balls all possible with the strongest storms. Any
heavy rainfall could lead to localized flooding issues, especially
across those areas already fairly saturated from recent rains.
For Tuesday, there will be a small chance for a severe storm or
two focused along and southeast of a line extending from Osborne
Kansas to Hebron Nebraska.

Beyond Tuesday, there is still too much forecast uncertainty to
confidently assess the potential for any severe weather.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT....

Reports of severe weather, heavy rainfall amounts and localized
flooding are always appreciated.
