This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Another hot afternoon is anticipated across the region today as
afternoon heat index values are expected to climb above 100
degrees, with heat index values potentially reaching 105 degrees
or slightly higher across areas east of highway 281.

Thunderstorm chances return to the local area this evening, with
some severe storms possible between the hours of 8PM and
1AM. Hail to the size of quarters and 60 mph wind gusts will both
be possible with the strongest storms.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Heat index values will reach 100 degrees in spots again Tuesday
afternoon. In addition, there will be low-end chances for spotty
storms Tuesday into Tuesday night, with additional, intermittent
and potentially more widespread chances arriving between Thursday
night and Sunday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotters are encouraged to report any hail, wind gusts of 50 MPH
or higher, or localized flooding.
