.DISCUSSION...

Strong northwest winds are expected today, with gusts over 50 MPH
possible (50% chance) this afternoon. A few spotty
showers/sprinkles are possible this afternoon, but measurable rain
is very unlikely for the Grand Island area.

Winds decrease this evening, and low temperatures dip to the low
40s by sunrise Saturday.

Saturday will feature mostly clear skies and light winds
gradually turning from the northwest to northeast through the day.

Most of the daytime on Sunday will be dry, but with a breezy
east-southeast wind (gusts 30-35 MPH). Thunderstorms (some severe)
are expected to develop late Sunday afternoon into Sunday night.
The probability for a wetting rain (0.10" or more) is 70-80% for
the Grand Island area.

Another round of showers and thunderstorms is expected Monday
afternoon into Monday evening. Winds shift to the northwest as a
cold front moves through.
