...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Minor flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of east central Nebraska, including the
  following county, Polk.

* WHEN...Until 400 PM CDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Streams in the area continue to rise due to excess
  runoff from rainfall over the past few days. At 145 AM CDT
  Wednesday, the gauge on Clear Creek north of Shelby showed a level
  of 7.55 feet. Flood stage is 7.5 feet. At 7.5 feet, there is
  widespread flooding of lowland pastures along the creek and water
  will begin to reach up to the edge of county road 142.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 159 AM CDT, minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the warned area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    mainly rural areas of Northeastern Polk County

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
