...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1030 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Mainly minor flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
  expected.

* WHERE...A portion of north central Kansas, including the following
  counties, Osborne and Rooks.

* WHEN...Until 1030 AM CDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas, and
  also perhaps along small creeks and streams.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 419 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated that between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen
    within the Advisory area since around midnight. Minor
    flooding is likely ongoing or expected to begin shortly in
    the Advisory area. Although not a certainty, additional
    rainfall of 1 to 2 inches could fall over the next several
    hours in parts of the area due to additional passing
    thunderstorms, exacerbating the flooding situation.
  - This includes the following streams and drainages...
    Medicine Creek, East Kill Creek, Paradise Creek, and Kill
    Creek.
  - Some locations that could experience flooding include...
    Natoma and Codell, but mainly rural areas near these
    communities.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
