DECEMBER WAS A WARM MONTH FOR GLASGOW. THE TEMPERATURE AVERAGED 23.5
DEGREES WHICH WAS 5.0 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL.

IT WAS ALSO A DRY MONTH WITH ONLY 0.22 INCH OF PRECIPITATION AND 1.9
INCHES OF SNOW. NORMAL PRECIPITATION IS 0.43 INCH AND NORMAL
SNOWFALL IS 8.8 INCHES.

THE MONTH STARTED COLD WITH A LOW OF -7 ON THE 1ST WHICH WAS THE LOW
FOR THE MONTH. ONLY THE FIRST 2 DAYS OF THE MONTH HAD LOWS BELOW
ZERO. TEMPERATURES WERE ABOVE NORMAL MOST OF THE TIME FOR THE
REMAINDER OF THE MONTH. THE HIGH FOR THE MONTH OF 45 DEGREES
OCCURRED ON 4 DIFFERENT DAYS WHICH WERE THE 8TH, 22ND, 25TH AND
27TH.

THE PEAK WIND FOR THE MONTH WAS 60 MPH ON THE 8TH. THERE WERE ALSO
PEAK WINDS OF 58 MPH ON THE 18TH AND 48 MPH ON THE 19TH. THE
WINDIEST DAY WAS THE 8TH WITH AN AVERAGE WIND SPEED OF 22.9 MPH.

LOOKING AHEAD TO JANUARY, THE NORMAL HIGH STARTS WITH 23 AND REMAINS
THERE UNTIL THE 20TH THEN WARMS SLIGHTLY TO 25 BY THE END OF THE
MONTH. THE NORMAL LOW STARTS WITH 6 AND REMAINS THERE FOR THE ENTIRE
