2023 STARTED OFF NEAR NORMAL FOR JANUARY AND FEBRUARY, ALTHOUGH
JANUARY WAS DRIER THAN NORMAL.

MARCH WAS VERY WINTER-LIKE AND ENDED UP WITH 18.3 INCHES OF SNOW. IT
WAS THE THIRD SNOWIEST MARCH ON RECORD. THE MONTH AVERAGED 14.8
DEGREES COLDER THAN NORMAL AND WAS COLDER THAN FEBRUARY.

APRIL HAD WILD TEMPERATURE SWINGS BUT ENDED UP COOLER AND SLIGHTLY
DRIER THAN NORMAL.

MAY WAS WARM AND WET. PRECIPITATION TOTALED 3.89 INCHES AND THE 14TH
WETTEST MAY ON RECORD.

THE NEXT FOUR MONTHS WERE WARMER AND DRIER THAN NORMAL WHICH ALLOWED
SOME DROUGHT IMPACTS TO RETURN. THIS INCLUDED THE GRASSHOPERS.

OCTOBER THEN WAS COOLER AND SNOWIER THAN NORMAL. A STORM SYSTEM
BROUGHT 14 INCHES OF SNOW FROM OCTOBER 24TH TO THE 26TH, MAKING IT
THE GREATEST 3-DAY SNOWFALL TOTAL FOR OCTOBER, PASSING THE OLD
RECORD SET IN 2008 OF 13.6 INCHES. IT WAS ALSO THE SNOWIEST OCTOBER
ON RECORD.

WITH A GLOBAL EL NINO CLIMATE PATTERN IN PLACE, NOVEMBER AND
DECEMBER WERE WARMER AND DRIER THAN NORMAL. IN FACT, DECEMBER WAS
THE WARMEST DECEMBER ON RECORD.

THERE WERE 17 DAILY TEMPERATURE RECORDS BROKEN DURING THE YEAR. 15
WERE WARM ONES, 2 COLD ONES.
