.DISCUSSION...

WEATHER PATTERN OVERVIEW:
As Arctic high pressure exits to the east, lingering below zero
temperatures tonight and winds increasing out of the west will
keep a Cold Advisory for wind chills going for the Hi-Line.
Low clouds and freezing fog has occurred much of the day downwind
of Fort Peck Lake impacting Glasgow, which is likely to become
more scattered and directed away from Glasgow with the wind shift
around midnight.

Tuesday brings a recovery in temperatures into the 20s and 30s,
along with some light snow accumulations south of the Missouri
River and Little Rockies as a system tracks mainly southwest of
the area. An unsettled pattern will cause seasonable temperatures
swings and light precipitation chances to remain through next
weekend.

FORECAST CONFIDENCE & DEVIATIONS:
Blended winds with 90th percentile and short term models for
frontal passage tonight into Monday. Confidence is high for
significant warming in temperatures through Tuesday, while still
low to moderate for potential precipitation type and amounts late
in the week.

Low clouds and fog coming off Fort Peck Lake will continue to
produce IFR conditions over KGGW into this evening, with
increasing potential for clearing after 04Z as winds switch
toward the west. This will briefly move patches of this fog
toward KOLF.
