.DISCUSSION...

KEY MESSAGES:

- Warming trend begins today, leading to above normal temperatures
  this week. No precipitation expected.

- Trough moving in Friday brings a cooldown and a slight chance of
  rain.

WEATHER PATTERN OVERVIEW:

Warming trend begins today as the stubborn Southwestern ridge
that refuses to leave the Four Corners region begins to flex its
muscles north. Expect dry weather and temperatures well above
early October averages through all of this week. By the weekend
there is a possibility the next West Coast trough may break down
the ridge and cause a brief pattern change but models continue to
diverge widely on how far north or south the trough goes so
confidence is low and will have to be monitored as the week
progresses.

FORECAST CONFIDENCE & DEVIATIONS:

No real deviations, went straight NBM on winds and temperatures as
temperature ranges weren`t large.

Confidence remains high for this weeks dry spell and above
average temperatures.

Confidence is low on possible pattern change starting Friday.
