HOWEVER, SNOWFALL FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR WAS WELL BELOW NORMAL. THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR THE YEAR WAS 45.2 DEGREES WHICH WAS 4.9 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL. TEMPERATURES FOR THE YEAR STARTED AND REMAINED ABOVE NORMAL THROUGH THE YEAR WITH ONLY APRIL, MAY, JUNE, AND AUGUST NOT BEING AT LEAST 2.0 DEGREES ABOVE AVERAGE. 2024 ENDED UP AS THE SECOND WARMEST YEAR ON RECORD FALLING SHORT OF THE 45.8 SET IN 1965 PRECIPITATION FOR THE YEAR WAS 23.58 INCHES WHICH IS 3.36 INCHES ABOVE NORMAL. JANUARY THROUGH MARCH SAW BELOW NORMAL PRECIPITATION THEN THE PATTERN SWITCHED AND WETTER CONDITIONS PERSISTED THROUGH THE SUMMER SEASON LEADING TO VERY WET CONDITIONS BY AUGUST. THE WET TREND STARTED TO REVERSE AS SEPTEMBER AND OCTOBER SAW BELOW NORMAL PRECIPITATION. NOVEMBER WAS NEAR NORMAL AND DECEMBER WAS BELOW NORMAL WITH RESPECT TO PRECIPITATION. THE SPRING AND SUMMER PRECIPITATION HELPED PUSH OVERALL PRECIPITATION VALUES UPWARD WITH OVERALL ANNUAL PRECIPITATION RANKING AS THE ELEVENTH WETTEST ON RECORD. TOTAL SNOWFALL FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR WAS WELL BELOW NORMAL. THERE WAS 19.5 INCHES OF SNOW WHICH IS 23.3 INCHES BELOW NORMAL. NO SINGLE MONTH SAW ABOVE AVERAGE SNOWFALL AND AS SUCH THE CALENDAR YEAR ENDED UP AS THE SECOND LEAST SNOWY YEAR ON RECORD. REMEMBER...THIS DATA IS PROVISIONAL AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE.
