OCTOBER 2024 BROUGHT WARMER AND DRIER THAN NORMAL CONDITIONS TO
NORTHEAST WASHINGTON AND THE NORTH IDAHO PANHANDLE. OVERALL IT WAS A
FAIRLY QUIET MONTH WITH NO SIGNIFICANT WEATHER EVENTS. OCTOBER IS
THE BIGGEST MONTH OF WEATHER CHANGES FOR THE INLAND NW HISTORICALLY
AND THIS ONE WAS NO DIFFERENT. FOR THE FIRST HALF MILD TEMPERATURES
DOMINATED WITH SPOKANE MAKING IT INTO THE 70S FOR 8 OF THE FIRST 15
DAYS. BUT BY THE LAST WEEK OF OCTOBER TEMPERATURES WERE MUCH COOLER
WITH HIGHS MOST DAYS IN THE 40S AND 50S. PERIODS OF LIGHT
PRECIPITATION AND BREEZY WINDS ACCOMPANIED SEVERAL FRONTAL PASSAGES
DURING THE MONTH.

NO RECORDS WERE SET DURING THE MONTH AT THE SPOKANE AIRPORT.
