The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Dallas County in north central Texas...
  Tarrant County in north central Texas...

* Until 845 AM CDT.

* At 735 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
  thunderstorms producing moderate to heavy rain across the warned
  area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. An additional
  0.5 to 1 inch of rain is possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or
  expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

  IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
           highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other
           poor drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Garland, Irving, Grand Prairie,
  Mesquite, Carrollton, Richardson, Lewisville, Flower Mound,
  Mansfield, Rowlett, Euless, Desoto, Bedford, Grapevine, Cedar
  Hill, Haltom City and Wylie.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
