Cooler conditions are expected today with highs in the 50s. With dew points falling throughout the day, humidity levels will fall down to 30-50%, lowest along and west of the James River. Breezy northwest winds are expected today with gusts up to about 20-30 mph. Even with recent greening across the area, elevated fire danger is expected today. Temperatures will warm a bit more on Saturday with highs up to the mid 50s to low 60s expected. Humidity values will fall to near critical to critical values. However, winds will be very light, keeping fire danger at bay.
