Southerly winds will increase through the early afternoon. Peak gusts west of I-29 will be between 35-40 mph, and east of I-29 25-30 mph. Dew points will be increasing resulting in minimum relative humidity values in the 50% range. However due to the winds, fire danger will be in the high to very high category across the region. Showers are expected to form in the early morning hours of Wednesday and continue through the late evening. Rainfall totals west of I-29 will range from 0.10" to 0.25" with the highest totals closer to the interstate. East of I-29 is expected to have the highest totals between 0.25" and 0.5". The rest of the week and first half of next weekend will be dry with mild temperatures generally in the 50s.
