This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest Iowa, west central
Iowa, southwest Minnesota, northeast Nebraska, central South
Dakota, east central South Dakota, south central South Dakota and
southeast South Dakota.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Hot temperatures and breezy winds will lead to very high to extreme
fire danger this afternoon.

Thunderstorms are also possible across parts of southwest Minnesota,
southeast South Dakota, and northwest Iowa this evening. Some of
these storms could be strong to severe with wind gusts up to 60 mph
and large hail up to 1 inch in diameter.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

More widespread rain will return by Saturday with amounts likely to
reach up to a half an inch to an inch. Rain looks to transition to
light snow on the back side of the system. Snowfall amounts look to
be light at this time.
