This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest Iowa, west central
Iowa and southwest Minnesota.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Confidence continues to grow that a winter storm will impact post-
holiday travel Friday into Saturday night. Periods of moderate to
locally heavy snow are possible, with a High Probability (>70%) of
at least 6 inches of snow for areas near and east of Minnesota and
Iowa Highway 60.

Adjustments to the area of heaviest snowfall and amounts are still
possible as details evolve. However, with such a strong signal for
impactful snowfall, now is the time to prepare. Continue to monitor
the forecast and be open to adjusting travel plans.

This storm system will be followed by a stretch of even colder air,
with sub-zero nighttime wind chills early next week.

northeast Nebraska, central South Dakota, east central South
Dakota, south central South Dakota and southeast South Dakota.

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Confidence continues to grow that a winter storm will impact post-

briefly heavy snow are possible Friday into Friday evening, followed
by persistent light snow Friday night into Saturday night. There is
a Moderate Probability (40 to 70%) of at least 6 inches of snow.

possible as details evolve. However, with such a strong signal for
impactful snowfall, now is the time to prepare. Continue to monitor
the forecast and be open to adjusting travel plans.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Areas of light snow are expected to develop Friday morning, with
periods of light snow persisting through Saturday before ending
Saturday night. Increasing southeast winds Friday, and north winds
on Saturday, may produce areas of blowing and drifting snow. Be
prepared for wintry travel conditions during this post-holiday
travel period.
