Iowa, southwest Minnesota, northeast Nebraska, central South
Dakota, east central South Dakota, south central South Dakota and
southeast South Dakota.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Strong northwest wind gusts between 40 and 50 mph are expected
for today. These strong winds will lead to very high to extreme fire
danger across the region.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Precipitation chances return for early next week, with a risk for
rain and snow. A high degree of uncertainty remains in the forecast,
so continue monitoring.
