Light south-southeast winds prevail today with speeds largely less than 10 mph. Temperatures rebound into the 60s with minimum humidity levels around 35 percent. The lighter winds will allow grassland fire danger to remain in the Moderate category, but smoke dispersal will be poor to fair much of the day. Much warmer air returns to the region by Thursday, with increasing south winds in the afternoon. Look for humidity levels as low as 25 to 30 percent as temperatures climb into the 70s. South winds will be gusting 20 to 25 mph by midday through sunset. While smoke dispersal will improve to good or even excellent by late afternoon, the low humidity and gusty winds will result in high to very high grassland fire danger. .REST OF TODAY...
