...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT PORTIONS OF STATE HIGHWAY
260 IN GILA AND COCONINO COUNTIES THROUGH 645 PM MST...

At 610 PM MST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Willow Springs Canyon Lake, or near Forest Lakes, moving northeast at
10 mph. This storm is producing heavy rainfall that will make driving
on State Highway 260 hazardous near Mile Marker 280.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Mogollon Rim Visitor Center, Willow Springs Lake Recreation Area,
Willow Springs Canyon Lake, Canyon Creek Fish Hatchery, Woods Canyon
Lake, Woods Canyon Lake Recreation Area, Colcord Mountain Estates,
Sleepy Hollow, Sardine Point Day Use, and Forest Lakes.

This includes State Route 260 between mile markers 277 and 288.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
