.DISCUSSION...Moisture will remain over the area today, with
around a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms this
morning, increasing to 70 percent this afternoon and early
evening. Winds outside of storm activity are expected to be
generally light today, though after storms develop winds are likely
to be variable in direction for the remainder of the day. Some
strong and gusty winds will accompany storms, reaching 30-40 mph.
Much drier air will arrive late tonight and remain for Friday and
Saturday, with some increased southwest winds on Friday afternoon.

                    thunderstorms, mainly during the afternoon.
