.DISCUSSION...Friday and Saturday...Breezy north to northeast
winds from 10-20 mph will continue through this afternoon before
decreasing. An approaching low pressure system will bring increased
southwest winds and areas of near-critical fire weather conditions
to the White Mountains and adjacent areas on Saturday. A 20-30%
chance for light rain and mountain snow showers will arrive Saturday
evening and night.
Sunday through Tuesday...A more unsettled pattern is expected for
the start of next week. Temperatures will decrease, but stay above
normal through Sunday, falling below normal for Monday and Tuesday.
A 30-50% chance of showers arrives Monday. Southwest winds gusting
25-30 mph on Sunday, will increase gusting to 30-40 mph on Monday.
Areas of near-critical fire weather are possible in the lower
elevations of eastern Arizona on Monday. Winds turn westerly from 15-
25 mph on Tuesday.
