Area Forecast Discussion
National Weather Service Flagstaff AZ
155 PM MST Fri Nov 7 2025

.SYNOPSIS...Dry and mild weather will continue through the coming
weekend and much of next week. A more unsettled pattern with
chances for precipitation may return by next weekend.

&&

.DISCUSSION...A ridge of high pressure will amplify just off the
west coast over the weekend, peaking at an impressive amplitude by
Sunday or Monday. The ridge will then slowly move eastward while
losing amplitude, but this could take all the way to next Friday or
Saturday. This means several days of well above normal temperatures
are on tap, especially Monday and Tuesday, when some high country
records may fall.

The pattern may break down just past the end of this forecast
period. Models are chaotic and there is very low confidence, but
a return to unsettled weather may be the cards.

&&

.AVIATION...Friday 07/18Z through Saturday 08/18Z...VFR conditions
are expected. Be on the lookout for localized areas of haze/smoke
resulting from prescribed burns. Winds will be light and variable
through the period, generally 10 kts or less.

OUTLOOK...Saturday 08/18Z through Monday 10/18Z...VFR conditions
are forecast. Winds generally from the north at 5-15 kts on
Saturday afternoon, becoming north through east on Sunday.
Northeast winds will remain elevated south of the Mogollon Rim
Saturday night into Sunday morning.

&&

.FIRE WEATHER...Saturday and Sunday...Warm and dry conditions are
forecast. Northerly winds will be light, mainly less than 10 mph on
Saturday, then shifting to light and from the north through east on
Sunday. Minimum afternoon RH between 15-25% each day.

Monday through Wednesday...Warm and dry conditions will continue.
Winds light at 10 mph or less and mainly terrain driven on Monday
and Tuesday. Winds becoming more westerly at 5-15 mph on Wednesday.
Minimum RH 10-20% on Monday and Tuesday with an increasing RH trend
starting Wednesday.
