The National Weather Service in Grand Forks has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect from 7 AM this morning to 9 PM CDT this evening. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect. * WIND...Sustained winds to 25 to 30 mph, with gusts up to 50 mph. * HUMIDITY...Relative humidity as low as 20%. * IMPACTS...Any fires that ignite will spread rapidly and become difficult to control. Outdoor burning is not recommended. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A significant wind shift is expected from west to east starting late this morning as a cold front traverses the region. Winds will initially be from the south before shifting to the west. There will be a brief lull in wind gusts after the front passes before winds rapidly increase once more in the afternoon.
