...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM THIS MORNING TO 9 PM CDT
THIS EVENING FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONES 003, 024, 027, 028, 029, 030,
031, 032, 039, 040, 049, 052, AND 053...

The National Weather Service in Grand Forks has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect from 7 AM this morning to 9 PM CDT
this evening. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.


* WIND...Sustained winds to 25 to 30 mph, with gusts up to 50
  mph.

* HUMIDITY...Relative humidity as low as 20%.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that ignite will spread rapidly and
  become difficult to control. Outdoor burning is not
  recommended.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A significant wind shift is expected from
  west to east starting late this morning as a cold front
  traverses the region. Winds will initially be from the south
  before shifting to the west. There will be a brief lull in wind
  gusts after the front passes before winds rapidly increase once
  more in the afternoon.

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.

Warning, which is in effect from 7 AM this morning to 9 PM CDT
this evening.

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zones 002, 015, 016, 017, 022,
  and 023.

* WIND...Sustained winds to 20 mph, with gusts up to 40 mph.

* HUMIDITY...Relative humidity as low as 25%.

* IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
  Outdoor burning is not recommended.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A significant wind shift is expected
  starting around midday as a cold front traverses the region.
  Winds will initially be from the south before shifting to the
  west. There will be a brief lull in wind gusts after the front
  passes before winds rapidly increase once more in the afternoon.
