This is an update to first PNS regarding the tornadoes that impacted the Grygla and Gates Corner area on the evening of 06/22/2025. After getting the chance to view high resolution satellite data it became evident that what was originally reported as one tornado was at least two separate tornadoes with both doing EF1 tree damage. It remains possible that more quick brief spin ups occurred that did lesser damage not be resolvable by satellite. This will be the final update to this event unless more information becomes available. .Grygla NE... Rating: EF1 Estimated Peak Wind: 100 mph Path Length /statute/: 6.57 miles Path Width /maximum/: 400 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 06/22/2025 Start Time: 07:33 PM CDT Start Location: 3 WSW Gates Corner / Beltrami County / MN Start Lat/Lon: 48.4408 / -95.3888 End Date: 06/22/2025 End Time: 07:45 PM CDT End Location: 3 E Gates Corner / Beltrami County / MN End Lat/Lon: 48.4594 / -95.2502 Survey Summary: A swath of tree damage was found with satellite, A report was also relayed to the Beltrami county EM of trees twisted in every direction with significant road blockage near Gates Corner. A vehicle that got caught in it was abandoned because it will require heavy equipment to clear all the mangled trees. && EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale classifies tornadoes into the following categories: EF0.....65 to 85 mph EF1.....86 to 110 mph EF2.....111 to 135 mph EF3.....136 to 165 mph EF4.....166 to 200 mph EF5.....>200 mph NOTE: The information in this statement is preliminary and subject to change pending final review of the events and publication in NWS Storm Data. $$
