...The National Weather Service in Grand Forks ND has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in North Dakota...

  Pembina River at Walhalla affecting Pembina and Cavalier Counties.

.Heavy rains falling in the region last night have caused the
Pembina river to swell and climb above flood stage.

For the Pembina River...including Walhalla, Neche...Moderate
flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message - Turn around, don`t drown. Don`t travel through
flooded areas. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Pembina River at Walhalla.

* WHEN...Until Thursday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 11.0 feet, MINOR FLOOD.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:15 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 10.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late this morning to a crest of 12.5 feet this evening. It
    will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow morning.
  - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
