THE MONTH OF OCTOBER AT THE GRAND FORKS UNIVERSITY (NWS) WAS ABOVE
IN TEMPERATURES AND BELOW NORMAL IN PRECIPITATION.

THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH WAS 50.3 DEGREES WHICH WAS 6.4
DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL. THIS RANKS AS THE SEVENTH WARMEST OCTOBER ON
RECORD WITH 56.6 DEGREES RECORDED IN 1963. THE TEMPERATURE
DEPARTURES REMAINED ABOVE NORMAL THROUGH THE MONTH. ONE TEMPERATURE
RECORD WAS SET FOR THE MONTH. ON OCTOBER 10, A HIGH TEMPERATURE OF
86 DEGREES WAS RECORDED TYING THE PREVIOUS RECORD OF 86 DEGREES
PREVIOUSLY SET IN 2015 AND 1934.

PRECIPITATION FOR THE MONTH WAS BELOW NORMAL. TOTAL LIQUID
PRECIPITATION WAS 0.79 INCHES WHICH WAS 1.21 INCHES BELOW NORMAL.
NO PRECIPITATION RECORDS WERE SET FOR THE MONTH.

NO SNOWFALL WAS REPORTED FOR THE MONTH.
