Hurricane Helene left a large swath of significant wind damage across parts of the east-central and southeast (middle) Georgia where wind gusts up to 100 mph occurred. The National Weather Service in Peachtree City GA has been in touch with county and state-level emergency managers, and is working on a plan to get out and survey as much of this damage as possible. This process could take a couple of weeks. We have also had to focus many of our resources this week on the Rockdale County chemical plant incident. We are also considering the challenges navigating some of the areas most affected by Helene`s powerful winds, and holding off for additional clean-up, restoration and recovery occurs. We greatly appreciate everyone`s support and patience during (and following) this extremely impactful weather event. We will follow up with more details on any surveys planned and storm data information over the next few days. $$
